Athens State University recognizes the importance of providing accessibility to up-to-date information regarding University policies and procedures. The policy library was developed to ensure easy accessibility to approved university-wide policies and procedures. The policy library is updated as policies and procedures are approved or revised. Policies set by the Board of Trustees expressing the comprehensive or overriding expectations and/or requirements of the Board, as the executive body governing the University, related to achieving the mission of the University or to the duties of the President..

Operating Policies

Operating policies generally fall into one of the seven categories below.

I. Administrative

II. Academic
Policies related to the academic programs and courses offered by the University.

III. Financial
Policies related to accounting, budgeting, grants, procurement, travel, and other financial functions of the University.

V. Student Affairs
Policies related to student life, student code of conduct, and other areas directly related to students as members of the University community.

VII. Research
